About Us

PureGeek was assimilated, as all good ideas are, from a conversation in the pub. We were lamenting the lack of quality, UK available, geek clothing around and I decided to do something about it. Many pints later PureGeek was born.

As I had a full time job when the idea was conceived, things progressed slowly at first but then I decided to go for it and pursue the dream of UK clothing design and manufacture.

Who is PureGeek?

I have a degree in Electronic, Communication and Computer Engineering from the University of Bradford.

I went to work for one of the largest telecomms equipment manufacturers in the world, Northern Telecom, who became Nortel, then Nortel Networks, then dissolved due to the dot com burst of 2001. I was working on next generation technologies back then and was part of the team that produced ADSL and Fibre to the Home. I then went on to work for quantumBEAM developing free space optics data links.

After being made redundant from there I headed into teaching and spent 17 years teaching Physics. So as you can see I am a geek through and through. Hobbies include Scouts, old VWs, photography, mountain biking, hill walking, films and reading.
